Martin Livingston has been building new homes since 1983. He started out in Seattle, Washington where he worked for an architect building town homes on the hillsides overlooking Lake Union. In the early 1990's, he started building in the Hollywood Hills.

Throughout his career, he has specialized in complex, hillside construction. Now operating as LA HillsideHomesInc, he continues hillside construction in Los Angeles.

He has always been interested in environmentally friendly homes, creating low toxicity environments for their occupants.

He currently has a project in the permitting phase that is designed to be an environmental showplace. It will be one of the “greenest” houses in America. “LEED certified” engineers are designing all of its systems using state-of-the-art technology to produce energy on the site, clean the air and efficiently use water and energy resources.

LEED certified is the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a green building rating and certification program from the U.S. Green Building Council for residential and commercial buildings that are environmentally healthy. It also provides certification for individuals who demonstrate an understanding of green building practices.

It is Martin’s purpose to build beautiful, environmentally sensitive projects to enhance the lives of their occupants and neighbors.
